Meet Robo the protector of neighborhoods

The Problem

Design a robot that will be able to protect a neighborhood from any known threat and what functions to give the robot to able him to protect the neighborhood.

The start of my engineering design process

After designing my robots head I realized that now I had some challenges on what kind of body, arms, legs and feet to give them I decided on different things and which one best suits the robot


Choosing the arms to begin with

I had to decide between these two choices the one on the left and the one on the right at first in my head I thought the one on the right would look good the same way I had pictured it but in the end it turned out pretty bad thats why I decided to try and make a new design which the one on the left turned out to be I choose this design because well it looks way better and more like a robot.


leg type

For my legs I had two choices a boxed leg or an ellipsoid leg as I thought about it a ellipsoid leg would be better for my robot for many reasons. One it would fit his ellipsoid body that he already has and another reason is he will be able to move alot more quicker and better with out dealing with big bulged boxed legs.


Feet Type

Next I had to decide on what type of feet he should have either a sphere foot or a ellipsoid foot again I choosed the ellipsoid foot because well he already has the body and legs so why not also the feet? also having a sphere foot would limit my robot on possible falling more easily and moving alot sloppery.


Arm Continued

Later in the project I realize that my robot having one single arm would limit him in strength and flexiablitiy when facing problems he is trying to resolve. So I decided to create whats on the left by copying the same single arm twice and then twisting creating a flexiable strong arm.
